The Hoge Kempen National Park is the only national park in Belgium. Depart from one of the six gateways that lead you into untouched nature. Coniferous forests, moorlands, grassy plains, and panoramic views are the trump card. In the Duinengordel nature area, you climb the highest land dune in the country. Bosland is Flanders' largest contiguous forest area where you can cycle through the tops of the trees, walk through the Lommel Sahara while the little ones romp around in the adventure forest.
The De Wijers pond area in the heart of Limburg stretches from Genk to Lummen. In Bokrijk you don't only cycle past these ponds, but right through them.
